A low mileage 1973 V12 Roadster restored & upgraded by Eagle and with just three owners from new.
Supplied new to Henly’s of London in late-1973, this Series 3 V12 was acquired by its second owner in 1977 and remained in his ownership for an incredible 35 years.
Arriving at Eagle in 2012 the E-Type was in completely original condition, with documented 27,000 miles from new and still wearing its original, factory-supplied tyres. Time though had taken a cosmetic toll and we could see that this Roadster was an ideal candidate for an Eagle restoration.
Unsurprisingly for such a well looked after car the body shell was the best-preserved UK-supplied example we had ever seen and, with such a great basis to start from, the outcome was exemplary. Today this E-type presents in better than new condition with its freshly finished and matching colours.
A complete rebuild of the matching numbers engine unearthed how just little wear the V12 motor had incurred and it is now just waiting to be driven.
In addition to this world-class restoration we engineered the Roadster to our V12 GT specification. The comprehensive upgrades include uprated cooling, brakes and electronics and the full list can be seen below.
