"It is quite simply the most beautiful thing I have ever seen"
Jeremy Clarkson, The Sun

In 1963 Jaguar made twelve E-Type roadsters entirely of aluminium in order to reduce weight. They were produced solely for the purposes of racing and, in combination with special aluminium engine blocks and wide angle cylinder heads, they became formidable race machines. Jaguar continued development of these ‘Lightweight’ E-Types including introducing 5 speed gearboxes and fuel injection.

This specification of this second ever E-Type Speedster is inspired by those very special racing Jaguars and, by incorporating our aluminium 4.7 litre engine, gearbox and differential, and fuel injection we have created a car that not only looks pure and beautiful enough to receive the praise quoted above – but with a weight of just 1008kg has absolutely staggering performance and can boast a power to weight ratio matching the very latest Porsche 911 Turbo.
