Almost without exception, every new owner of an E-Type bought from Eagle simply cannot believe just how much work we carry out to what had appeared a perfect restored car, gleaming in the showroom, before we are prepared to release it to it’s eager and excited new owner.
At the point of collection, we run through your 8 page booklet, which contains over 100 items we have meticulously checked, with every fault discovered completely rectified to our uncompromising standard. We then run through just how much we have done as part of our “3 yearly” service programme, aggressively developed over the past 20 years to pre identify possible problems that might otherwise occur. This includes such items as automatic renewal of clutch slave cylinder, for example, which is prone to sudden failure if not changed regularly.
The complete details of everything we have done are furnished, together with a comprehensive list of all the new parts we will also have fitted. And the biggest shock of all is that all of this work was included within the purchase price! After the final road tests are completed, we carry out a comprehensive anti corrosion and wax injection programme, which includes stripping down both doors and fitting our own inner membrane panels, having fully wax injected all the internal seams first. We carry out exactly the same body protection process as we do all our newly built Eagle bodyshells.
After this is completed, we carry out our comprehensive PDI preparation programme, which includes placing our bespoke tool kit package in the car, together with a full set of both new Eagle and Jaguar handbooks. Only then is your purchase ready to be released, with a personalised hand over that covers all aspects of E-Type ownership, right down to the easy way to open and close the bonnet!
