A restored, matching numbers 1966 Series 1 4.2 Roadster upgraded to a touring specification

  • Originally delivered to the United States in the winter of 1966, this beautiful Series 1 Jaguar E-Type was returned to the UK in the late 1990s, stripped to bare metal and comprehensively restored. It was also converted to right hand drive.

During the restoration the decision was made to upgrade the car to a touring specification that included the addition of a lightweight aluminium bonnet, wider wire wheels, later specification brakes and an uprated differential for higher cruising speeds.

  • The original  matching numbers 4.2-litre engine was completely disassembled and fully rebuilt, enhanced with an upgraded stainless steel exhaust system and modern cooling fan. The traditional British Racing Green paintwork completes the exterior, with the Suede Green leather upholstery and reclining seats complementing the scheme perfectly.

This E-Type is perfect for touring and would also be an outstanding candidate for further upgrading to your specifications.
