Eagle at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb Festival

To mark the 70th anniversary of the Jaguar XK engine the Jaguar XK club organised a fabulous festival at the historic hill climb venue of Shelsley Walsh.

We were delighted to help them celebrate and took a selection of very special E-Types plus an interesting and relevant selection from our Eagle Historic collection. There was an astonishing selection of Jaguars old and new and we were really pleased to meet Eagle customers old and new at the event.

Taking part in the hill climb in some of our Special Editions was a great way to demonstrate how they handle and perform and there was no shortage of interest in being a passenger!

We were also asked to select a winner for the 'Essence of E-Type' prize and delighted to award it to this intrepid crew:

A red 3.8 coupe, all flaps open and a windscreen dense with splattered flies. Behind is a classic picnic scene complete with champagne, straw hats and a moustache as impressive as the spread of food. With an old Dakota rumbling overhead and the sound of an XK engine being thrashed up the hill in front it was pure 'Essence of E-Type' and worthy of the award.
