With only 36,291 miles driven from new, this Series 3 V12 Roadster is beautifully presented in the original turquoise with biscuit trim.
A left hand drive automatic originally supplied by British Leyland of New York in November 1972, it is unrestored and in remarkably fine condition. The careful ownership is amply demonstrated by the many invoices that accompany the comprehensive history file.
The fully documented history includes the original handbook and wallet and a full appraisal from 1991 confirming the mileage as 28,704. It has had very light but regular use since that date, adding only a further 7,577 miles driven in the last 23 years.
Featured as the ‘definitive’ Series 3 in the official Jaguar Heritage Guide ‘Factory Original - Jaguar E-Type’, it has also starred on the cover of the E-Type Club magazine and photographed extensively for Philip Porter’s 'The Iconic E-Type' by Abigail Humphries.
The absolute originality shines through, and it’s easy to see why it has become such an iconic example. The only improvements made from 1972 has been the replacement of the hood and the tan hide seat facings which, although unworn, had incurred some light sun bleaching. Complete with air conditioning and chrome wire wheels, this is a very usable E-Type by any measure.
We will be delighted to include the full set of publications and photographs to accompany this exceptional E-Type to its new home, as well as its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate.
Every E-Type we sell can be converted to left or right hand drive, and can also benefit from our world-renowned Eagle upgrades. Learn about the Eagle Difference here.
