  • Among the most highly developed Eagle-restored Roadsters and upgraded with a 4.7-litre engine and six-speed gearbox for fast road driving and touring.

Featuring a number of Eagle ‘firsts’ this Eagle-restored Jaguar E-Type was developed over a number of years to be the ultimate fast-road car, fully capable of tackling Europe’s best driving roads during an enviable selection of tours and regularity rallies.

An early Eagle restoration this E-Type was completed by us in 1997 and was road tested that year by Roger Bell of Classic Cars magazine, who was stated that ‘No other E-Type I’ve driven, barring perhaps an uncivilised Lightweight racer, has displayed such verve.’

Key to this was of course the upgraded original engine, bespoke front and rear suspension set-ups, AP Racing brakes and a six-speed gearbox. Several such items have remained unique to this car, with the specification brief among the most extreme we’ve ever had and the subsequent upgrades too expensive to ‘productionise’.

The full list of upgrades can be seen below.

In 2003 No.6 returned to us for yet more development and became the first Eagle-restored E-Type to feature our 4.7-litre engine, the power and torque advantages of which have remained highly sought after ever since. The original matching numbers 3.8-litre engine remains safely stored here at Eagle and will naturally accompany the car to its new home.

The latest round of developments came recently in 2020 and Eagle No.6 now boasts a trio of Weber carburettors.

With the owner now finding less time to use the car as he would want to, and has done over the last 24 years, the difficult decision was made and Eagle No.6 is now available for another owner to make many memories in.

Left-hand drive and highly specified, what better way to test your mettle on the roads of the Alps, Pyrenees, Sierra Nevada or Rocky Mountains.
