The design inspiration behind the Eagle Low Drag GT is Chassis No. EC1001, the unique Low Drag Coupe produced by Jaguar. Designed by Malcolm Sayer, it was intended to be the very first of a team of competitive Jaguars to feature in international GT races. The special roof line was 2 inches lower and was designed to cut through the air with greater ease, leading to the ‘Low Drag’ moniker.

Although undoubtedly beautiful on the surface. much of what makes the Low Drag GT such a thrilling proposition lies beneath the surface. Our four decades of commitment to developing and improving the Jaguar E-Type has enabled us to create a grand tourer in the true sense of the word.
With an incredibly low dry weight of close to 1000kg, the Low Drag GT features an aluminium body shell with magnesium 16" wheels. Our extensive use of lightweight materials including carbon fibre, titanium and Inconel ensures that lightness is maintained and performance is optimised.
Comfort is a core consideration with extra leg and head room and extensive heat and sound insulation that offers vastly reduced wind noise. The bespoke glass includes heated front and rear screens and there is plenty of practicality too with an impressive luggage capacity and a long range fuel tank for cross-continental touring.
Low Drag GT No.3 has recently been featured in Top Gear magazine, driven and reviewed by Chris Harris. His opinion sums up the appeal of the car:
This thing is so good looking, so shapely and muscular – such a clever mash-up of Sixties cool and modern muscle car. And it’s sensational to drive too. The racing world has been squeezing 400bhp from these in-line sixes for years now, but in a lightweight road car the effect is even more dramatic.
