“Spectacular, eh?” The Kingsman Jaguar E-Type, engineered by Eagle
Fresh from a run as our chosen car on the Eagle Tour of Norway, we are delighted to offer the ‘Kingsman’ E-Type for sale.
Supplied by us to the previous owner in 2002, we were very pleased to reacquire this 1964 E-Type Coupe in 2017 after his 15-year, 45,000-mile ownership. While still very well preserved, it was beginning show some signs of use and we thought that it would make the ideal candidate for a full recommission - which somewhat typically for us and our passionate approach quickly escalated in to a complete bare tub rebuild including both front and rear suspension, differential unit and the matching numbers engine too.
We also felt that an upgrade to our GT specification would enhance the driving experience further, so we fitted uprated cooling, electrics, brakes and our own Eagle 5-speed gearbox.
The entire interior was beautifully retrimmed in tan leather by our team to complete the picture.
Within the same week that we’d finished the works, a call came in from MARV Films who were looking to source a dark green E-Type Coupe for their hero in the Kingsman sequel ‘The Golden Circle’. Clearly there was only one car for the job and we delivered this E-Type to Savile Row for the filming.
With the film becoming an international hit around the world, millions watched Taron Egerton’s character drive this very E-Type at some speed to Kingsman HQ. As modern film provenance goes, it really doesn’t get much better than that.
It’s also worth remembering that, while there were several Aston Martin DB5s used in another well-known spy franchise, there is only one Kingsman E-Type.
