In only its third year the Heveningham Hall Concours has quickly become one of the most impressive events of the year and, having taken part this year with our Speedster, we couldn’t agree more!

Kick-started with a tour to the Reedham Ferry Inn for lunch on Friday 29th June, the convoy, including everything from a McLaren P1 GTR to a Paris Dakar Peugeot, made for quite a sight. With Henry, Paul and Dan in attendance the Speedster’s two seats weren’t enough and Eagle E-Type No.33 was drafted in as a second tour car, and actually led the pack for much of the drive.

With the Concours judged on the Saturday, Sunday was left for the Speedster to take part in the event’s inaugural Horsepower Hill time trial shootout up against much more modern and powerful machinery. A Bugatti Veyron Vitesse Supersport took the overall honours, completing the 1/5th mile uphill drag in just 9.62 seconds and crossing the line at 98.5mph.

Incredibly, the Speedster’s fastest run saw it set a time of 12.59 seconds and cross the line almost matching the Bugatti at 92.8mph! What a fantastic weekend it was and our thanks to the whole Heveningam Hall team.
